My Involvement with KICKSTARTER Campaigns
One or two months ago, a comic book writer Dave Wimblett from England sent me a DM, and we got to talk about his comic book THE HOARDS OF SURREY. He and his artist planned a Kickstarter campaign for its first issue.

Dave commissioned me to draw the variant cover. This was going to be the third Kickstarter (campaign) I’ll ever been involved on.
The first one was PINOY KOMIKS: FILIPINO COMIC ANTHOLOGY. This was back in 2014. You could tell what the book was all about from the title. And I was very honored to be involved in it because not only I was in the roster of talented comic book creators who are Filipinos, but parts of the pledged would be given to Global Giving for Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts.

The second was A TASTE OF ASIA with GoldenJellyBean. She proposed of making a book about 20 Asian countries for kids to learn about. However, the campaign was not fully funded.

So the third one is Hoards of Surrey. The cover process was easy drawing the characters since they were all turned around. The most time consuming part was drawing all the book shelves and books. The coloring process was fun and a bit difficult because I was playing with light and darkness.
Hopefully, I’ll be involved in more campaigns so everyone can see my work. All for now.
