LRT ART

LRT ART was a series of art that I did back in the Philippines during my commute to work/to home while riding the LRT-2 transit between the Katipunan Ave. station and V. Mapa station. Each piece would be like 5-25 minutes for me to do. I always stop drawing when I’m about to get off the train.

It does seem like a creep-move to draw people outside. But it was very helpful skill-wise. It made me a faster and wiser artist. It made me more loose and got to draw different array of face & body shapes. Another excuse which might not be plausible is that Sir Manix Abrera (I always greet and talk to him with calling me “sir” or end your sentence with a “po” (“po” is a way for Filipinos to give respect to an elder or someone you respect highly). Anyway, Manix mentioned that he gets ideas for his comic strip when he commutes. And LRT ART is something like that… right?

Below are all of the LRT ART pieces that I’ve posted then via Instagram Stories. Its really amusing that its pretty natural for us to be on our phones. If not, just taking a snooze.
